    Hey!!! I'm doing that same design (at least the stars parts)! I've been hand-piecing it since last October, and have probably close to 90 blocks done. You did a great job!! :thumbup:

    For all who asked - the name of the block is Star of the Orient. It's in the book that started my scrap obsession many years ago. Scrap Quilts by Judy Martin - Moon Over the Mountain Publishing 1986. The pattern is time consuming (esp. when this scrappy. The only time I repeated a fabric is in the diagonal sashings - 4 of each then.) There are partial seams which really isn't hard once you get the hang of it. In dreaming of grandbabies to come - the time spent was joyous!
