From the problems you had, bet you think it should not have been in the Quick Quilts book, but your perseverence paid off!! It is beautiful!

I made this quilt in a variety of plaids and homespuns and love the way it turned out. The LA quilter did a terrific job and this is currently my fvorite quilt. The book is great.

It seemed that each block had an issue with the star points. So it was clear that it was that portion and not the whole block. I fiddled with it and TA DA!!! I finished one and while it's not perfect, it's pretty darn good and I am just tickled pink. I think I'll make one more practice block to perfect that section and then I'm going to start on my own Dizzy Geese quilt.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, they really helped.
That is beautiful, I love it.

Let's talk TEMPLATES ! I never use them as I don't trust they are accurate and I don't want the problem you just encountered. Did you COPY the templates on a copy machine! There is a setting on the machine that you need to use to get the template the CORRECT size. If you don't-the template will be distorted (a little OFF!) Unfortunately - I can't think of what the setting is called! Someone here will remember....... Gonna be a stunning quilt. Post pics as you go!!!!
