this is basically what I did...after looking at a picture I made a pattern using freezer paper.
I used my leftovr fusible fleece and ironed it onto the nose, both eye pieces , 2 wings and 2 feet pieces per owl.
I sewed along the feet and wings 1/4" and turned.. I added some detail stitching to the wings and the feet.
I sewed the eyes and nose pieces on to the front owl panel. I then placed the feet and wings pointing to the inside of front owl body so after you sew around the front and back panels they are inside... after turning to stuff they pop out ! Pictures to follow.

these are my HOOTERS waiting to be sewn together

this shows the fusible fleece on the wing and feet.. the nose and eyes have it as well. I did this because I wanted them to pop out a bit..

this is a freehand pattern. you can see I am not accurate on shaping.. but if you get one side the way you like it.. fold the pattern in half and cut it from there

this is the wing, eye and foot and beak.. I forgot to show the small center of the eyeball but you get the idea

stitch on the eyes and beak first... after sewing the wings and feet inside out turn them and place them to the inside on top of the body front and pin...

place the back panel on top and sew from one foot all the way around to the other foot.. leaving an opening between the two feet so you can turn and stuff your HOOTER !
