Not done through a needle.....was couched on. Have an attachment that the yarn is threaded through and it's sewn over the top of the yarn. I put the yarn in a jar behind the machine so it would feed through easily.

Thank you for adding the close up pics. I didn't realise that ALL the leaves were actually stitching when I saw the first pictures. You really have done an awesome job and I hope you continue down the track of thread painting. You've done a wonderful job
