Yes, quilt retreats are great for the soul. The adrenaline stays with me for weeks afterward and that's even when I go to teach at one. I have to be careful that I don't overdue it. Last time I attended for myself, I was wiped out for a whole week afterward.

Glad to hear. I have been to a weekend retreat at a LQS a few years ago and went to several Empty Spools Seminars.

Our guild just had our "snow camp" that lasted 4 days this year.
I just love seeing all the ladies work come alive on their wall boards.
We had several drawings forfabric prizes..
We will have another "spring camp" in May.
It is so much fun.... just like the Elm Tree Quilters

I went to my first retreat this year and loved it. (someone to cook and do dishes while I sewed). My husband paid for the retreat for our anniversary. I had a wonderful time and look forward to attending more retreats.

My first was earlier this year. It was at a retreat center. We sewed, joked and ate. It was so much fun.

My guild sponsors a retreat each year - this will be my 10th or 11th year. We are lucky to be in CA and near the beach. We rent a huge 2 story house that sleeps 20+ quilters. There are full kitchens and living rooms on each floor. We partner up and provide one meal and then we are done cooking for the weekend. It's great.
Here is a photo of the view from the lower living room:

Sharing is always a lot of fun. And remember those slumber parties when we were young?
