She might not always want to use it (you know how one's taste change!), but she will always cherish it since her great grandmother made it for her. You made a lovely quilt and she will always have fond memories of you!

I think it is beautiful. The colors have alot of life in them. The quilting also, will tone down the colors a bit but I would never call it too bright or gaudy. She will love it because it was made by you just for her!

I think those colors are FANTASTIC!!! And she may just love it so much now that it will be worn out long before she is 30 so start planning the next one. Plus, I am double 30 (plus a little bit ) and I would STILL love it!

There is no way we can predict what anyone will like in 30 years. Make it for her now and she will love it now. The memories that it brings back to her in later years will make her love it then too... How could you not love something that was made especially for you?

I'm 73 and i love it! I love brights, and always have. I would give my right arm...and my right leg to have one of the quilts made by my grandmother when i was a little girl!

I would call that subdued, not bright at all.

It's perfect for a young girl. By the time she is 30, it may be worn out. I gave my grand kids quilts and they are very worn out. The kids are ready for new quilts and the quilts aren't even 10 years old. I'm happy that they have used them for all these years.
