It's like they say -- if you have some ugly fabric you just haven't cut it into small enough pieces. You took your anger and cut it into little pieces and something beautiful resulted.

That is very nice. 2 1/2" squares are time consuming to work with. I like what you did. I love the headboard with the antique look.

Congratulations to you and your husband! Your quilt looks fantastic on the great bed your husband made. And I'm very happy to hear that you are feeling 100% again! Anger, frustration.....you didn't let them get the best of you! You took the time that could have been wasted letting those feelings destroy you, and turned that time into something very positive. Stay healthy and happy! Hugs!!

Quilting is a wonderful release from worries. Its a reward for being alive and helps one to grow in strength. It is wonderful that you had such skill when you needed it as the quilt turned out to be a gem of color and comfort. Good for you for working into a positive mind. The reward is there in front of you combined with the support of your husband. You are a good team! I began quilting to gain strength after being ill for two years. The work helped me to be interested in something that would lead me away from feeling sorry for myself and into the world of color and design. That is an exciting place to be.
