The finished block is 13-3/4". It started out at 16-1/2".

I did this in a workshop years ago. This is what I remember. We started out with a 16-1/2" freezer paper pattern. We had twelve fabrics. We divided them into 2 stacks of six and sliced them according to the pattern. The pattern is turned just like the lower left block.

What a fun quilt and I love the quilting, too! Your technique is like the Buggy Barn patterns I have seen where you slice and dice and then shift the piles so the sewing them back together makes them all different. A fun thing to do.

Look at additional information on Page Six.
