What a cute and fun quilt!!! Love the bright colors and the black makes all the other puzzle pieces pop!

I'm a bit confused -- where are the 8" finished rectangles?? I am planning on starting this in a couple days and don't want to cut the wrong size.

It will be for a young boy who is really into puzzles.

No pattern. I just copied the photo I saw. The squares are cut size 3 1/2" (finished 3") and the rectangles (cut size) are 8 1/2 (finished 8"). This quilt is throw size, about 72 by 60. You can make the pieces any size you like as long as you keep the perspective (square to rectangle). It's very easy to make. You just have to lay the blocks out or put them on a designer wall in order to keep them in the right order before sewing. I counted the number of rectangles and squares I needed from each color, wrote the numbers down, cut them all, and then arranged them into blocks and rows before sewing. There may be a simpler way, but that's just the way I work.

That's a happy quilt. The pattern is on my to-do list too.
