I absolutely loved this quilt and was determined to get the black off. I have no clue how many times it was soaked and washed and I used every known cleaner there is, but it finally came off. It is so much prettier in person and it is completely quilted by hand. It is all HST's and the maker had to have a design wall to do it properly. I sure wish there was a label so I could thank the woman. I just wonder how could anyone do that to a quilt like this ? Hope you enjoy. BTW, each HST is about 2 inches sewed.
How Wonderful for you!! So glad you were tenacious and continued your efforts to remove all of the markings and dirt from this one.

    She is certainly a beauty!!

Can't imagine why it was allowed to get into the condition that you found it in.
    Nice looking quilt.
