I have a weak spot for scrappy too. Your quilts are beautiful.

I like them all. But the one with the plaid squares with the buttons in the center is my favorite. They are all happy quilts. Thanks for showing them.

I do love scrappy but still have lots more scraps in my stash. Will have to do some more.

This was made up as I went. Started off with 5 or 5 1/2" squares and joined them with 1 1/2" strips and Sashings and added strips to make the borders. It was pretty easy really. I then had lots of my grandmother's buttons in a tin and decided to use them to tie the quilt. I used sashiko thread to tie the quilt, double knots and then just trimmed them off after. I gave this quilt to my sister so she appreciated the buttons from grandma's collection.

I always keep scraps from all my projects and keep them in similar colours in plastic boxes. Then when I want to make a quilt I go straight to the colour I want or grab bits from all the boxes to cut up for that project. Some days I go through my scraps and cut them up into strips or squares of different sizes and keep them together for a future quilt. I also like to be organised so I know where most of my colours etc are.
