Do you have pictures of the whole machine all cleaned and polished up? Would love to see them!

Here is me beginning the brass cleanup.

here is how the older thick hinges were made. Note the milling marks on the sides...

These are the most unusual hinges I have worked with to date. Three our of four needed service, one needed to be completely rebuilt (rest the hinge pin and re-pean it down.

cleaned up hinge ready to re-install

sorry, had to show one more before and during the cleanup...

Wow. Just wow. Now that machine/treadle could possibly get me interested in the antique machines.

one of my favorite parts of this machine is the sound she makes when running. if you can, you should download the videos I posted and listen to her. My DD is into music and she was enthralled by the rhythm "Mina" has. She described it as a soft train sound... Love it...

I did, and yes, she does. I feel the same way about my Underwood 142b. It has a metal camstack that sits sideways in the top center of the arm. It makes the same soft click-clack when it's sewing a cam stitch that's soft and soothing, I love to listen to it. If it wasn't a left needle machine it would get a lot more use though.

Very enjoyable story and videos. One question - not related to the wonderful machine and you taking care of it - where did Heather get her slippers?
