*strokes cutebun's ego madly* ;-)

This is soooo cool... I love that bit where you start to see the pattern forming, and you're closer to the end than the beginning.

So Blue, you must think that I am a prima donna quilter

it is really starting to look good, though I think that I could just the center piece several times for a quilt as well, I like it a lot,

Good save Blue! 8)

Well, I am on my way to bed, I am past being over tired, I have not been sleeping the greatest and the kids insist waking me up early in the morning. I am happy what I got done today. especially since I was out for most of it.

Here is the latest picture! :D

The table is not wide enough (I should sew them in at least strips so they don't get messed up. ) so they are kind of squished at the bottom,

That's looking awesome!!

I'm just having dinner then it's a toss up... do I spend the evening on the couch watching tv and being a blob... or hide in my dungeon and sew like a little posessed chicken?!? Hmmmmm.... decisions decisions.

It is interesting to see the difference in our styles, I am working out and you are working around. I hope tomorrow I get it done and on the table, I have an idea maybe for the next quilt, just don't know if I can get it done on time. My sis really likes the OBW but was stuck as the fireman print that I got for hers (her DH is a firefighter in Vancouver) isn't suitable for that. so what to do? what to do? Another issues is that she is into earth tones, and the fabric is not earth tony at all. But she loves the fabric.

Gimme a couple of Red Bulls and I'll be a posessed chicken all night! LOL

What about a bag out of fireman's fabric?

I normally work in strips... but this one was a little intimidating so I'm sticking to doing it block by block. Still have the whole left side and top two rows to do. *gulp*

see and I am working in strips and would more, I think the largest group so far is 8, there would be bigger ones but with the different fabrics that I used they are the same but not.

Quilt the way that you are comfortable with, if it doesn't work for you then change it.

I had a thought on the way too or from Edmonton, not sure which, that no matter what I put on one side, I can back it with the fireman fabric. that way the quilt will suit them both. I have over 5 meters of it. should be enough. I have to look to see if I have a color suitable for the obw for her though, I have a pink thing with a brown bird on it, I have a purple print, and one or two more, I guess I should buy the ones that I have for that and see what I can come up with. Big pieces, think big pieces and shoot the thoughts this way. I am wondering how big I can get away with cutting the pieces?
