    While looking at such a gorgeous quilt, I thought that maybe if you just did an echo quilting around all your circles it would really set them in motion. Your quilt is so pretty that all you need is to get them moving and enjoy

    That is a great quilt. I've made a couple Dresden plate quilts and I always applique the centers, so much less of a hassle. You did a great job.

    That is so pretty! I think I would just quilt it with even straight lines or a grid so as not to detract from the pretty dresdens.

    The original pattern is titled Completely Dotty from American Patchwork and quilting, February 2004 issue. I have been working on it off and on for that long.

    I altered the pattern from full circles in each block to the grid pattern which proved to be an issue of figuring out the centers.

    The pattern is terrifically simple to make and it is done with an easy paper pieced technique.

    Hope some of you try it. It really is fun to make the scrappy circles.
