I also tried to sign up since everyone says the strips are already cut...figured I might be able to sew even with a cast ?? Got the same error message that says I'm not qualified. I contacted them and got an email back but nothing in it said that they would send out a kit to me so I'm not sure but I don't think that they were interested in me making a quilt for them. :( :(

Maybe email them again? They're probably a bit overwhelmed since everyone on this board is requesting a kit  and you know that they have to put a lot of work into each kit. So ask again. Or wait to see if one shows up in a few days :)

Wow you guys! Did you know that so far about 30 people here have requested this kit and if we each send one of our own they could have 60 new quilts by Christmas time for these kids!! Are we an awesome bunch or what!? Sorry about some not being able to get a kit but maybe they are swamped!! I would try again later tho if you still want to do one.

yes, i would think they would be swamped with requests..

you know, they will take kids themed fabrics, for the focus fabric.(if you can't make one,)
i would cut some fabric up for them, 5" pieces and mail that off..those of you that are out of the country..can still help!

a couple friends have this info on thier blogs too...!it's a beautiful thing!

I just signed up...thanks for the information...I don't have any scraps that would qualify as kid fabrics, but I need an excuse to make a trip to the QS...I plan on sending in several!

My package came yesterday. It is the same as picture posted here. Can't wait to get started on it. Probably later today. I was in Wal marts yesterday and they have some real cute fabrics for childrens quilts.

Just signed up also, thanks for the link. This is like the quilt I am finishing for my guild that goes to women's shelter for the kids that come in with their Moms.

They are fun and easy and know they are really appreciated.
