I'm loving this quilt. I have a scrap bin that is just screaming for a pattern like this. Can't wait to see more pictures as you move along.

I just finished using most of my 2-1/2 and 2" squares. I will have to wait until I collect more.

A very long time ago one tip that I remember clearly that I have made use of is that any colors can be put together even if they clash, just place the troublesome pieces at least three patches or units away from each other.

For me, more is better when doing scrappy.
Love the progress you are making.

Patchwork, I'm in that group, too! I'm doing a scrappy Red & Green one for Christmas. No color coordinating. If it's "red" it goes in. If it's "green" it goes in.

I have 56 blocks in so far!

Just a quick peek at what I have done with this pattern and bin of purple scraps. I even found a large piece for the backing. Many more blocks to go!

Sorry if you have seen this on other forums, but it was part of the my work for virtual quilting week-end and my efforts toward the fabric moratorium.

    !!
I have been making scrappy four patches per Bonnie Hunter's "leaders and enders." I have a gazillion of them and had just started to wonder what I was going to do with them. This is perfect. My smaller squares will be different than the larger ones and I will have to alter the steps to account for the completed four patches, but that's simple. I will have to violate my no-fabric purchase-in-2020 pledge to get the solid for the chain, but I can manage that.

Can't wait to see it in process!

I think you have a great start and what a great pattern to use up scraps.
