I like the one on the left. The right isnt bad it just makes my eyes dizzy. The left is more calm and pleasing to the eyes, also help to unify what is going on in the center.

I wonder what you did. I think I would have used the solid brown, but I can't imagine doing so many borders without putting them together like a strip piece and attaching all three together, then you would see how they all work together. It is also a great way to have them all mitered.
