i am so impressed with all you ladies and gentlemen doing the BOMS and eagerly await the BOMS just to see what everyone has done.. but i havent quite got the courage to do one yet..alas.. i think too much and dont do enough!! i think it is also great of all the ladies and gents that post pictures of their not so perfect blocks and air all their frustrations as it makes me feel that i am not the only one out there who cant get simple things to go right and leave it for a while and then go back to it with hopefully better results. Also none of my friends quilt and i am sure there are other quilters out there that are in the same boat and no one understands us like fellow quilters(!!) when we need to have a whinge or two when nothing seems to go right...

Denise-What a great BOM!! Love your colors and construction! And, the fact you can cross the yellow line in thinking out of the box!! You go girl! I love a challenge and the 'think' process and this is an excellent thought process here. I have to say I'm still fairly new newbie and to me a block is a block. I just work in 'sections'...and this block defin. allows for that sectional think:0). Your execution is really good too and I think you for the challenge! All the blocks look excellent...I haven't seen anything trash worthy at all! When they are all put together...it will be an amazing quilt! Keep up the great works! All of you! Skeat

You'll be done before I am. I have a terrible head cold. SO I won't be sewing all weekend. :(

LOL....no sewing when I am sick. The last time I did that I wound up with a "picasso" quilt. Everything was off skewed.

it isn't cheating to adapt a block to the method you like best. it's just plain smart and sensible.
