    I love it..I've tried to do one of those for my DD and couldn't cut a 45 degree angle to save my life.

    No, the lone stars aren't that hard. I like doing them using strip piecing methods and if you're careful matching your seams everything will come out fine!

    Our son & daughter-in-law have asked for a new lone star.
    It got washed every week with the sheets, so my hand
    quilting mostly disappeared after about a year. I had
    made one for our son about 6 years ago @ his request.
    His wife thought it needed to be washed weekly & couldn't
    understand why the batting dissolved & quilting went
    away.I will make a new one, but will include washing
    directions.(HA) I am going to try to enlarge the
    individual diamonds so the star covers the entire top
    of the queen bed.
