He's a cutie! You got me thinking about one desparate Thanksgiving when we were at my husband's uncle's ranch, and my two little ones were bored stiff with no one to play with. I had taken some stitching for myself, and i ended up sharing my stuff with them as we practiced sewing buttons on Aunt Rosies dishtowels, and "embroidering" some little houses I drew on the fabric. They had a ball.

Then I remembered something out of my own preschool days- sewing cards. Do any of you remember sewing cards? They were cardboard pieces with simple drawings on them and holes along the lines. We had to lace them thru the holes and "make a picture" I haven't thought of them in a coons age!! Thanks for the reminders of happy memories, and enjoy that little feller!

He is adorable. Reminds me of my son at that age who did learn to hand sew and has used the knowledge as an adult when a button needs to be resewn or a hem repaired. Never know where the sewing will lead. Keep encouraging him. Who knows, he may become a famous quilter someday :-)

How sweet....My almost 5yo GD wants to sew too, but she wants to use my sewing machine. I told her she has to wait till her foot can reach the pedal....didn't make her happy. She tried some hand sewing with me, but her 2yo brother makes it almost impossible! They both want all of Grandma's attention! :-D

He is so cute. I think it is great that you let him sew with you. I love my gd sewing with me. We have a ball.

Before I read the thread, I'll ask about the beautiful sewing machine covers in the background of that adorable child so engaged in his sewing project. Are your covers original, or did you find patterns. I would love to make covers for my machines.

So sweet, look at that concentration! My oldest son and I made a very small heart wall hanging when he was around 2 or 3 years old. I still have it hanging in my house and will not part with it. He is now 24:)

He's adorable.........My 5 yr. grandson likes to work in my sewing room too, but his Dad is not too happy about it. I say it's my house, and if he wants to help, why not?!
