I'm not sure which portrait you are asking about.....I am still learning...if you let me know which portrait, I can tell you who's technique it is.....or....the portrait of my DH is taught by Marilyn Belford at Quilt University.com, the portraits of my three Grands is call Mosaic Portraits by Tammie Bowser. The portraits of Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson are by Maria Elkins. I hope this helps.....

They are spectacular! How do you do this? i would love to know.

The technique used for Michael Jackson is actually one of the easiest. An artist named Maria Elkins teaches this technique. Just google her and take it from there.....If there's anything I can help with, let me know....

They are offered through out the year. Just go to Quilt University to see when Marilyn Belford is teaching another class. Maria Elkins sells a DVD called "Making Faces" and it was her technique that I used for the Michael Jackson and Eric Clapton portraits...
