Just to clarify, did you find out anything yet about the chicken fabric?
You know, it doesn't seem that anyone has ever seen this print before. It's a fun one though! I have enjoyed all of the suggestions from everyone. I'll post a new photo when I get the fabric worked up.

You are right! I just hate the idea of cutting it up too much. I like several of the ideas recieved from the board!

Actually, our local feed store has a community yard sale in their parking lot each year. They had advertised some quilting books in the paper so I decided to stop by. Anyway, the owner of the feed store had forgotten to bring the books, but I noticed the fabric on her sawhorse made table. I picked up the whole stack and asked her for a price and she said $2.00! I almost fainted!

Then she told me to stop in the next week and she would bring in the books and let me look through first...turns out that she just gave them all to me. She said she wanted to give the fabric and books to someone who appreciates the craft of quilting! She siad when I got through this stack of books, she had more if I wanted them.

    I feel very blessed!

I'll spread out that piece and take a photo to show sometime on Friday. It is a really neat piece, looks like a hand painted heavy linen or something. I'll be open for suggestions on that one too!

I would make a butchers' apron out of it if there was enough - you know, the type that has a bib front?
