Welcome from Canada! You will find loads of inspiration here! Just sew a few of those blocks together that you have been making and you'll have your first quilt. It doesn't have to be a big one - in fact something small is better to start with. Do a table topper or even placemats. The only problem with this site is that I spend more time on it than I do sewing!!

Hi from Ruskin. My name is Jane and I am a "snowbird" from Massachusetts and in Ruskin for the winter. I was actually in Wimauna the other day. Found a great shop in Sarasota the other day. Cotton Patch Quilt Shop - it is down by BJ's. They recently moved and the whole shop has changed and may now be my favorite quilt shop.

Sorry I'm so late getting my "welcome" in. This is a busy time of year!! Glad to have you aboard Steve. Love the old Camaros! My DD has one. I'm located in North Central Florida.
Oooops! DD means Darling Daughter. At least that's what she is to me. 8-)

Hi Joann, from Port Richey Florida. I love this site and read it every morning. I do some quilting but I am a novice at the most. I have an embroidery machine and love making blocks, putting them together into a quilt. You will find lots of information on here. It is amazing the things that I find that help me out.
