I would like to call them "Finished"!

In my part of the country PIGS (projects in a grocery sack) are guild swaps. You put your name and fabric you like in a grocery sack (usually 3 fat quarters or some specified amount) and people swap their sacks (unseen). Later in the year you get something made with your fabric (and any others the person decides to add on their own) back as a finished project - a lap quilt, purse, table runner, placemats, or anything else the person thinks you might like.

UFO's are my favorite - they fly around my studio and sometimes I recognize where I was originally headed with them. Often times I'm glad they disappeared for a while while I grew into them.

OH, I really like this one since I have finished anything else that was started. Now can't decide what to make
but have oh so many choices and even some time.

About 20 years ago when the term UFO came out I never liked it. Too much guilt associtated with 'unfinished'. So I started calling them 'Works in Progress'. I always knew I would get back to them. If I run across one that I don't want to finish, only then do I designate it a UFO and I find someone that would like to have it.

I often call mine either O-that's or Never Minds and very old ones are "oh-that-whatshammacallit's. These are so old I've forgotten why I started to make them in the first place, but never tossed out.
