Oh my - if my hubby took a quilt hunting, it would come back torn, bloodied up. He'd probably think it was a great thing on which to drag an elk or deer out of the woods over the snow & debris on the trail. The places my guys (hubby & 3 grown sons) hunt require lots of footwork up & down mountains to bring game even to where the horses can pack out the meat.
No thanks - the quilts stay home - I'll pick up an old blanket at thrift shop & wash it for hunting use.

My hubby always covers up with something when he watches tv. Most men eat munches and drink soda when they watch tv. Well many quilts and blankets have been stained, when he jumps up to root on his favorite team. So I made him a quilt all in dark colors and it has saved the day. Even if he spills his soda, you cannot see the stains. I have washed it numerous times......it looks a little worn but it gives it charm. When I gave it to him.....he said' what is this for" and I said" I made it for you so you can keep warm while watching tv". This look came over his facewas priceless when he realized the hours it took as he saw me working on it but he didn't know it was for him. He could not believe that I did that for him. It blessed my heart.

My hubby asked me to make him a simple quilt for his car. With the snow and cold we get he wants it to keep warm if the car brakes down. I have one in my car to.

My late husband slept under his. He had COPD and had to use an ozygen accumulator that was so noisy, as if his snoring wasn't but thas for another day. He decided to move into a guest room to spare me.I would gladly put up with both noises but he didn't want it for me.

So there are always quilts hanging out all over the house just waiting for someone to drag around.

My husband had his TV corner in our family room and he liked the quilt when he got chilled. He said, it is cozy and is nice and warm. I figure with all the quilts I have made he deserved one.

My husband has a "listening room" where he listens to his music on his high end audio equipment, so I made him a "Turning Twenty" quilt which he uses to keep warm in the front room when he more than occasionally naps in there.
