I signed up to do all the names and life has gotten in the way. DH injured his already very bad back and I injured my foot. I am way behind on sending back completed blocks but if ya'll bear with me I WILL get them all done and mailed back by the 1st of February. I promise. I have about 32 done and currently have 29 waiting for me. Have two more in the mailbox at the moment. I try and get a couple done a day along with everything else. teach me to sign up for all the names. Please, Please, bear with me and I'll get ALL of them done. thank you.

I have not done that particular pattern but I might know what you did wrong. Some PP patterns do not include the cut line on the outside of the piece. You need to add 1/4" all around. Could you have possibly cut on the sew line? This would make your block smaller and and the pattern not quite line up right. Check it out. That may be it. You don't want to give up PPing.

I'm still trying to make it work, I think I bit off more than I can chew...LOL on this block..

    But it was so pretty!

Absolutely! There is one block I am stuck on right now and have decided to set aside for a few days to rest. I even had a hard time figuring out which way to assemble it correctly. Once I finally did it was done within a short timeframe, but now one seam won't line up and not sure how to adjust it. And since we don't have more fabric to work with, I just can't give up and start fresh...

I chose to work on some simpler blocks for a few days and then try returning to the challenge tomorrow evening. We will see if I can figure it out.

    Good luck with your challenge!

Here is an update for the completed blocks I have received. 1 from the yellow print and 2 more for the fall leaf print (which my mother saw and loved, so at least I know she likes it.)

You just might be right, but it did say 1/4" seam allowance in between the lines. So I cut on the darker line next time I guess I will cut 1/4" seam allowance after the darker line. But even if I did that I still don't think it would still make the 12.5 block...who knows...LOL I'm just guessing here...
