    I love it, I am also Irish and its one of the types of quilts I want to do for our house. I'd like to find something along the lines of the book of Kells if there is such a thing for patterns. Hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

    Absolutely beautiful and amazing! Thanks for sharing - I saved a pic so someday maybe I'll be able to do something like this.

    Good luck with your hip surgery - I've known many people who did very well and wondered why they waited so long. Hope you're one of those!

    Sheila, I believe I have seen some Book of Kells patterns or kits - perhaps Keepsake Quilting??

    My husband had a total hip replacement Jan 10. Only uses a cane for walking distances. Is doing GREAT!!!! Actually worked outside today (we live in NM where it is WARM). Would it help you to have the cutting done so you could just do the piecing? Good luck!!!
