It is always fun to shop at Janet's in Ocean Springs. Sometimes my children think I have moved in over there! Great people, good place to go for thoughts and opinions... and help!

Took my DH to LQS which on vacation, and what a great idea. Everything I liked he said go ahead and get, and even though I'm pretty sure he just wanted out of the store, I ended up with $213 worth of goodies (along with an angel panel he wants me to make for his sister)

Several years ago, a friend was closing her quilt shop. I was buy a couple of tables from her and my son (he has a truck) took me there to get them. It was the last day of the sale and she was the only one working. I asked her if she wanted me to help cut - she said sure! So I did. Then my son asked her too (he had seen me cut many times) - again, sure. Pretty soon everyone started going to his table (he was about 25) and he was commenting on their fabric - they loved it! Then he decided he wanted me to make him a quilt but he wanted to pick out the fabric himself. He did a very good job - with the help of some of his new "girlfriends"! Pretty soon, one of them said "I think your wife is about ready to leave!" He informed him I was his mother not his wife. I told him he looked really old - that's why they were confused. But he is now a financial advisor to many "older" people and they love him. My friend still talks about how he charmed everyone in the shop.
