I wear neutrals and pastels but quilt with brights, bolds and batiks. How many of you are like me in that you quilt with the opposite of what you wear????

Just depends on what 'takes my eye' at the moment. I am adventurous!

I like the word eclectic to describe the different styles and colors that I use and have in my stash.
However, schizophrenic might work too.

I do not know how to do it. I like the land, but also the bright colors of batiks, but only mixed with white or dark.
I see the quilts crafted with bright colors and large prints and I wonder how they manage to get such beautiful quilts? I do not know how!
I think it is best to differentiate the variety that exists, and adapt it to our tastes!

Both!! I might do one for the "Subtle Sally" side of me and the next quilt will be for the "Bold Betty" side of me.

I can't decide... I drool over bright blocky modern styles, soothing monochromes, bright modern takes on traditional patterns, and all-batik quilts. I can't stop buying fabric with bright patterns and fun novelties. I have some wild things in mind I'd like to attempt after I've figured out the basics. So, in total keeping with my personality, I'm way out there and all over the place!

I am a Subtle Betty and a Bold Sally. Seems like I am always mixing and matching. Depends on my mood.

Love a little bit of "turkey red" in just about every quilt.. and also have that deep dark red scattered throughout my house. It adds just the amount of contrast to my softer, more pastel color pallet, and warms things up a bit.

But I love to wear jewel tones... they make me happy..
