That is cute I think i have an old soap dish somewhere that would work. My grandma always put fine sand in hers. It helps keep your pins sharp. I need to get some sand and make a couple more. It seems i am always chasing mine.

I have a couple of my grammies things too and one cup got broken in a million pieces, but I have the plate. I also have a candy dish that reminds me of an up side down umbrella and I have her strawberry jam container that was always on the kitchen table. There is a story behind that one. Aunt Vee had it in one of the china cabinets and when she died Mom and I went over to clean her house and made sure that certain things whent to those that were willed to them and such. I remembered the strawberry and I told Sis one day that I would have liked to have it. But did not see it again. I told her that I remember how pretty it was sitting on that white table cloth and the sun rays hitting it in the early mornings and it was a happy memory for me when I was very young. Any way Sis told Mom the story and Mom wrapped it up and gave it to me that year for Christmas. I was so tickled with it and it is now in my china cabinet and it looks so pretty with the gentle light shining on it. So one of these days when I can get some pretty plate stands that also have a place to put the cups,I will display those cups and saucers. Gramma was a tea drinker I think. Those cups have gold one the top and on the sides of the cups and the handle. I love them. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
