Elmers glue wont get stiff if you use a hot iron.

I recommend if you use glue, I do and like it, be sure to use Elmers School Glue. Go to Sharon Schambers site and check out the Angel video- she shows how she puts on her bindings using glue and she is an excellant quilter. She has won best of show at the Houston Quilt Show. Like some of the Commercials"Try it you'll like it".

Glue sticks are handy to use but don't apply too much in one spot, can make the sewing difficult.

thanks so much for the tutorial and comments on glue. I do lots of hand quilting and I am now learning quilting on my sewing machine. So thanks so much for sharing, it helps a lot.

Hi! the neatest thing that I use are hair clips!! the metal ones that snap closed. You don't prick your fingers and they are reuseable over and over again! Try them you'll like them!

I use Liquid Stitch. Made placemats with it and the binding is still in place. As posted, use for quilts with success. I am making stripped blocks that must meet. Roxanne's temporary glue becomes an excellent pin.
