    i LOVE HIBICUS TO AND HAVE A PURE WHITE ONE BLOOMING THAT THE BLOOMS ARE AS BIG AS A DINNER PLATE. hANDQUILTER

    How in the world can you grow Hibiscus in Canada? Is it potted and you bring it inside when it gets cold? I'd love to know!!

    Yes that is exactly what I do. I have them all in big pots and we put them outside around May 24th and bring them in before the first frost.

    My neibour lady has these hibscus that she bought from a nursery here in washington, state. they had been shiped down from Canada.I wish you could see them the blooms are as big as dinner plates.The mursery is gone now so we cant get any more.Handquilter

    Very pretty. I grew up in Hawaii and miss all of the tropical flowers. About 20 years ago, DH brought home multiple deciduous hibiscus plants from the nursery. I had never heard of such a thing but they have done very well here in Washington state. We have them in purple, white & mauve but nothing quite as pretty & bright as this pink.

    FYI: I have seen the dinner plate sized hibiscus - they're called "Hotbiscus" - and the colors are brighter than the standard hibiscus, if I remember correctly. Look for "Hotbiscus".
