we got our shots in school this way when I was in grade school, mid-to late sixties. I don't remember how badly ot hurt.

I'll get mine at work (hospital) next week. I do know that our hospital only ordered the traditional injection and the nasal vaccine. I can't take the nasal form, so it will be a shot for me. So much better than getting the flu!

Had a hiip replacement a couple of years ago. Was amazed that I was able to walk on that leg the day after the surg. You will do good. Let us know how you do. Good luck.

Hi Jan ,
Well I got my flu injction this morning also, and just like you I will have a hip replacement next Tuesday the 4th of October !!
I don't know about you, but I am getting a little nervous about it !
I havn't been in hospital for 42 years, so this is all a bit strange.
My surgon said I was to have a epidural but I will request a full anastetic, I don't want to hear , see or sense anything at all !!!
Well Jan, I hope all will go well with you, and maybe you let me know how you are afterwards ?

Had my regular flu shot today. Hardly felt it. Good luck with the hip replacement. I had mine in 2007 and I could have kicked myself for waiting so long. The dr. said "you will forget you had the surgery" and I remember every time I take a step that doesn't hurt!!!! Do all the exercises they tell you to, even if you don't feel like it.
