    I love this and I especially like what you did in the borders. It is everything a bed quilt should be - warm and cosy looking AND beautiful!

    Believe me, I'm no expert, as this was my first string quilt, but I used all different sizes. I sewed them all by hand while watching TV this summer. I will admit that the 1.25 size ended up being a skinny strip that didn't seem to add that much to the block (lazy), but I didn't like the VERY wide ones either. I did like the variety of widths though. I would say do what YOU like...

    I don't have the exact link, but try to Google "Quilt As You Go Method" tutorial and you will find lots of tutorials on Youtube and on this very site. I actually learned from a Canadian woman at my Florida park last winter :)

    I don't have the exact link, but try to Google "Quilt As You Go Method" tutorial and you will find lots of tutorials on Youtube and on this very site. I actually learned from a Canadian woman at my Florida park last winter :)

    Very pretty scrappy quilt. I love the look with the dark sashings and the way you put the blocks together.
