It was too hot to sleep last night! This is craziness. I enjoyed the class today, but am sooo sleepy. I should be working on finishing the bag (class was only to get us through the outside, lining and inside pockets are on our own). I don't know how you got through the days last week with the sleep deprivation you were dealing with.

We have more black flies here than we've had in many years. Nasty little creatures! I think they only last a couple of weeks though. And if this heat keeps up - which I hope doesn't happen - that'd probably get rid of them faster still.

Yup, you sound just like a new mom , worried about every possibility. It's amazing the scenarios we can come up with, isn't it? That's only because you love them and care about them so much. How could you not- those pictures are really something. Love to see her running, the tongue reaching out. And oh, look, she does lay down!

Maybe we can do some day this week. I know Tom will want to come, to see Mark, too - unlike in Wegman's when I was standing there tapping my foot... He has cards on Monday night, so it'll be at least another couple of days. Even though I'm around the corner, I'll have to make seeing pics do. That's what I get for gloating!

Hey Robin--it's dark till later... so an evening would be fine. I'm sure I'll be here! Oh--Thursday is Mark's b-day--so not then---

It was amazing to me how I got through my days with so little sleep--the hard part was about 12:30--but the students go to lunch and recess from 1-2, so that gave me time to get tea to revive.

I've got the horses all tucked in--and it was at 8:00! So I'm going a while without a barn trip tonight.

I got so much done today! Wash, dishes, made a salad, made cookie bars, washed Whisper tail--then later got Gypsy's done...typed my "Friday" letter for school (oops--got distracted there), updated my website, usual chores, pastures are clean..and Mazie is good in the electric fence! Yeah!! Mazie gots lots of lovin' in-between everything. And my in-laws came today--so we visited.

Tomorrow is the last hot day for a bit.

sandpat--I agree--she's getting cuter!! But--what a stinker! When I lead Gypsy into her stall--Mazie won't follow! She stands outside the door looking all around--just refusing to come in. I had to have someone available usher her forward twice already. Tonight there was no one around, so I carried the little pill into the stall.... She's awfully young to be so obstinate. Oh no....

You had a busy, busy day!
Whew! Mine has only started.
I have, let's see.....
dinner to start
livingroom floor to scrub
3d floor bathroom needs scrubbing
2d floor balcony needs cleaning
craft/sewing room needs straightening up (if I go in there, I'll never come out)
van needs vacuuming
2 loads of laundry-towels

I think that's it, but I can hold off on floors til later in the week, it's not a big priority.

I'm thinking you need to share those cookie bars, Karla. :) :)

Terri--just power wash everything and get to the sewing room. :D

Oh the cookies are going to put on the pounds! Justin didn't eat any and Mark's parents didn't eat enough! They're made with an oatmeal choc chip cookie packet--but I used applesauce instead of butter... oh my, so yummy.

Well, dinner is now in the crockpot, so that's done.
Floor can wait until tomorrow, Wed or Thurs, then Courtney can help scrub. I want to get the ENTIRE floor done at once instead of in sections like I usually do it. If I could get all the furniture out of the room, you can bet your bippy (whatever a bippy is) that I'd have the power washer in there to do them. lol

Mazie a pill? No way! That cute little filly is nothing but cute! She can't be ANY problem! No way! I don't believe you! lol
Do you think maybe Rosie whispered to her to be that way? hehe

 I'm laughing at Mazie being stubborn....just thinking that through...how nice it would be if/when the regular size horses are being stubborn...I could just pick them up and put them where I wanted too  ...I've always said there are  real advantages to a small size!!!

Ummm...pass the cookies please!

Terri, I'd just make a deal with Courtney...have her do ALL the scrubbing!

Mazie has an infection eye this morning... rats. I've done my best to get ointment in by myself. It's hard to hold her still--open eye, insert ointment... I'm racing home while students are at lunch/recess to try again.

Oh yeah--Kennedy's dad just stopped in and he's is going to come to hold her. :D Hopefully this will clear right up--if not--I'll have to call the vet. Most likely she got poked with straw or hay...

Poor baby. :(

She is the cutest little thing!
