Thanks for sharing. I had planned on getting to the top shelf of a closet tomorrow - with a CHAIR. Never even thought about using a step stool. Amazing all the ways that injuries occur. My broken fingers took much longer then the 6 - 8 weeks. This cold is really affecting the mobility. Hope your recovery is swift and complete.

Sorry to hear of your accident. You know, my husband scolded me just the other day for doing that. The step stool was only a few steps away and he reminded me of that. Heal soon.

Best wishes for a smooth healing.

I learned about chairs by trying to step from one folding chair to another on a slick floor.

having just pulled a pin out of my socked foot, I guess we could also think about how shoes are safer in the sewing room.

Ouch! I broke my right wrist -- just a little slip and fall on a wet floor in my bathroom. As hard as I hit my head on the floor, it's a wonder I didn't break something else. Realize, if you will, that I am a legal assistant/legal secretary and I had a very hard time doing my job! Before it was over with, my orthopedist threatened that I would have to have surgery if I didn't quit using my wrist! I got a helper pretty quickly after that!

Awe, things like that happen so quickly, then you ask yourself why? Hope you feel better soon.
