Very nice! Love the look. Thank you for sharing. Yes, I am curious too, have you managed to use all your scraps up?

I guess that it all depends on how accurate you need to be for your pattern. I find that foundation peiceing gives me sharper corners and more accurate piecing especially if things need to fit properly. With scrappy patterns you can get away with it as you can cut the blocks down to fit and it would not affect the pattern much. Hope this helps.

2nd..If I understand...you just grabbed 2 strips and sewed it together. You didn't use a foundation (paper) for attaching the strips together. Why do some patterns have you use foundation paper to sew 2 strips together and some do not?
    Have a great day!

I've been at war with mine for a few years now! Hopefully I'll get organised this year and do something about it! Plenty of scraps but procrastinating which is not too good!

Very nice! I have been working on using scraps also but I am afraid it will take more than a lifetime.

Just beautiful. Love all the colors. Am going to a 2-day sit-n-sew in Feb & am taking muslin foundation blocks & will sew strips & strings to them. When I get home, I'll cut those smaller & piece into donation quilts prob for our local Alzheimer's group.

How lovely and a scrappy that I forget about. I will put it on my "Scrap To Do List". I also have an abundance of scraps even after doing a spider web, several nine patch quilts and a pinwheel quilt of 120+ pinwheels. I suspect that scrappys are just part of the game when quilting. We never get rid of them because they multiply in the night when we finally leave our sewing machines for a few hours of sleep.

Good job looks like the way I do my scrapes. I have that same plan started last year but everything I open another box of stash I run across more bags of scarps. if I don't sort them I'm never going to get through where I can use whole pieces of fabric again.. But I do like the scrapes..
