Your quilt is darling and it is your creativity that created it. As to the question of how to use fqs, I haven't read all the postings, but have to share. There are several patterns that are designed for fqs one I am familiar with is Yellow brick Road, it is written with directions and the number of fqs needed for each size,I think the name is from the designer using yellow and blue, but I made it for my mom in pinks and greens her fav colors. I know there are other patterns written for fqs and I have also seen books that are all fq patterns, your library might also have them. Another way to uses them could be a sampler quilt with each block different and sashing between. Pick out several fqs you like together and then cut the patches from different ones mixing the combinations in different blocks but overall there will be some of each scattered throughout. Or you could also make all the same blocks but different fabrics for them. For ex. you could do ocean waves with a neutral or white background and the color triangles all in the same color family but different fqs. or all another pattern like Ohio Star or 9 patch, but each one a different set or 2 or 3 fabrics in one block, and some of the left over fabric with other fabric in different blocks. For example 9 patch using 2. Blue A and Green A in one; Blue B and Green A in another; Blue A and Green C in another; Green B and Blue D in another etc. But if you feel to overwhelmed with that just get one of the books and go with that.

Loretta - do you belong to Grand Stand Quilters? If so, I think we do know each other.

That is precious! I have some of the blue that you used for the backing too. I may have to do that also!

Probably Walmart about 2 years ago. They were having a sale and the price was right.
