Lovely! I know my girls would love a quilt like this.
It is beautiful done this way. I actually like the panel a lot just the way it is.

I agree lose the pre-printed borders add cream, peach to bring out the ferry wings.

I think the window pane idea would be perfect.

How about cutting out the fairies and do some raw edge applique on a softer background fabric?

I agree with removing the borders. Once the gold border is gone, the quilt may see lot calmer to you. Or you can go completely out of the box and use the fairies as applique on a completely different quilt. You could still fussy cut several small squares of the poinsettias to include in the new quilt if you choose.

I would make a wall hanging from this, you could get rid of the red border and add sequins and beads to flowers and fairy clothing. It would make a great Christmas gift for someone.

I love it as it is, don't spoil it, children love bright colours and after all it is a Christmas Quilt.

I would trim the border off and incorporate black into it with off white as well, and maybe use some "bling" in certain parts of the panel. I do love the panel they way it is.

    I just love it!
This shade of red is one of my favorites and it fits the whimsy of
    the characters.
However, this is not my panel or project.
Just wanted you to consider that the recipient may be ecstatic over
    it as it is.
Toning it down and then adding a little more red, maybe applique in
the outer borders sounds delightful to me.
