I used a light gray aurifil thread for top and bobbin. The white material has kind of a shiny pattern on it, hard to see in the pics. I found the gray thread really complimented that and it made the quilting pop. I did not quilt in the brown triangles. I was going to switch to a verigated brown thread and do something with them, but did not like how the brown thread looked on the backing.
