Jinny Beyer has been an inspiration of mine also.. the first "quilting book" I ever bought... way back in the 80's or early 90's was her "Los Doces" with fussy cut stars.

All the diamonds and squares were pre-cut.
I had to make transparent templates to cut the narrow inner borders.
I usually don't have enough patience to sew diamonds, Y seams or to make templates so that I am very proud of myself that I made it.
