You are indeed fortunate to have such an opportunity to purchase all those fabrics. Do hope the lady who is selling the fabrics is going to be busy with happy activities, know you will be once you get everything organized. I wouldn't be able to sleep all night.

OMG--I had that off white with red and green stars on it and made so many Christmas projects---then ran out and couldn't find it anymore! It's wonderful for background fabric for any of Carol Doak's pp stars!
If you know where they sell this, please post!

Oh, envy!!! You are so lucky! Several years ago I happened on a yard sale, the lady was moving and selling most of her fabrics. Her grand-daughters were helping her. $5 a Walmart bag full. Stuff as much as you can in a WM bag and it's $5. I tell you there are some really aggressive sewers out there. I had hubby with me so he guarded my sacks with his life. I even got elbowed when I was at one of the fabric tables. Yes, I did try to act like a lady until I got elbowed.

the sale I went to there were lots of ladies there in a rather small garage, but everyone was so polite. we were laughing and exchanging ideas and where we lived. even helping each other find a specific type of material. no pushing. shoving or rudeness.. it was a really lfun experience....sorry you ran into a jerk.

How could anyone give up quilting? Because I have tried. Sold most of my stash, but did not part with patterns and books. That lasted about a year and a half. Then I started buying fabric again and quilting! Like the Eagles song says "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave." LOL :D
