    Beautiful quilt, your work looks terrific. I'd also use the leftover fabric for the binding.

    I think you can get by with 2 inch binding if you don't fold it in half. I used one and 7/8 inch binding on a quilt and folded it so only 1/4 inch was not doubled and sewed that on the front and then folded the rest so it was doubled when I sewed it to the backing. You did a beautiful job on this quilt.
