@IrishLady - lollll, i use to think the same thing when i would hear people mention sewing, quilting, etc. But you are right...how wrong we were.

It is just amazing to see so mnay people from all over the USA and the UK and Australia. Quilters Unite!

I used a book I got on Craig's list called Traditional Patchwork Quilt Patterns with Plastic Templates. It is very basic and offers a lot of patterns that are 12 " so they go pretty fast. The author is Rita Weiss. Also found a quilting group at my church and all the ladies are a huge source of information and support!
