I seem to be in the minority but I like the blue border. I think it sets the quilt off. You could use the lasso fabric for binding.

I think the blue is fine but maybe bind with the red that is in the blocks.

I like the lasso fabric , but only make it double the width of the blue, then bind in the red color.

I love the lasso as an outer border. It balances the color of the frames in the quilt. I know your DN will love it.
