This is such an awesome idea. I don't have much"good" experience in sewing any thing that has points and that will have to match up exactly. I'm still learning. It's also a great idea for someone who doesn't have alot of fabric to work with as well as learning so many blocks that I like but are very intimidated by them. Thank you for this great opportunity.

Thank you all! I hope you have a good experience with these quilt blocks. I think they are easy to make. If you remember to take time to be accurate when you cut out the blocks and when you sew the blocks together remember to make sure you have a 1/4" seam allowance where the points are you will get a good result.

the credit for the idea of the Sampler goes to KClausing. She asked me to consider doing a Jane type quilt. So you can send your thanks her way!!

I'm not sure if this is where I am to post this. Oh well. Anyways, I received the templates yesterday and created the Boston Block. I think it turned out great. As soon as I learn how to post a picture I will let you see how it turned out. I want to thank you so much for all your tutorials and templates. They make me feel like I CAN accomplish something so intricate. A great big HUG from me to you!

    See Rhonda:
If I'd of just listened to you my blocks would of been much better. You said just two posts up, quote: "remember to make sure you have a 1/4" seam allowance where the points are you will get a good result." I hope to try another block in the next couple of days. Life is getting in the way right now.

I didnt see too much wrong with your quilt blocks! It looks good to me! We all can always improve of course but alot of that comes with practice. And even with as many of them as I have made I still lose points sometimes. It happens. I do my best and I will go back and redo a few times but usually if I can't get it with one or two redos then I just have to say oh well and let it go!! If you tack and have things so they can't move you will get a better looking Block too. I really liked the suggestion to use a magnetic strip to mark your 1/4". That is not only a marker but it is a raised marker too.

that really was a good idea and I don't know if it's my sewing machine (a FW) or the magnet, but it doesn't have a lot of "stick" power to it. I may just put a stronger magnet on top to help hold it in place. Don't know if it will work, but gonna give it a try.
Oh yeah, I've never redone a block. Either it's good the first time or it stays the way it is, lol! I don't have the patience to take one apart and redo it. It's gonna have to be ok the way it is. I'm happy with it.
