Boy, I just NEVER find deals like that at yard sales. Good for you. It's lovely and I'm sure you'll give the quilt a good home. Thanks for sharing.

We(our senior quilters from church) just received a bag full of these tops, Some are queen size and some larger and maybe a twin. My question is how do you quilt this pattern? We just have the tops.
I have no idea! I hope someone can tell us.

I bought one too, at a thrift shop. The colors are what get me. After many years they are still bright and beautiful. Mine is a very simple one patch. I thought about the quilting and decided to hand quilt it with a ball point needle, and just a simple outline stitch using poly thread. I haven't done it yet because I was waiting to find some of the same type fabric for the back. I finally did, last week. How crazy is that? There it sat, at my thrift shop, all folded neatly into a large rectangle. Price 1.99. When I opened it all up there had to be at least five yards there. It's just ecru, but it will work beautifully because the quilt top has a few squares of ecru. The quilt top cost 2.99, so when I'm finished I'll have a wonderful quilt that cost me only $5.00!

I feel sad when ever I go to sales and see someone's handi work being put up for sale.
I plan on giving all of mine away before my day ends.

with polyester you know it is going to be nearly indestructible.

It is beautiful and the colors bright and white is sparkly.

a tinge of green is creeping into my emotions... not sick, no, just envious!

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA
