So open and bright there, with the delicate foliage and amazing architecture. I was lucky enough to visit some years back (but your son was not there with a big sparkler that day!)
That is the place. My daughter and I were lucky enough to visit this past Jan with my son, his wife and daughter. Great time and a beautiful place. Actually I enjoyed many places in and around Kyoto.

The pattern is called Window on the East. I purchased it from Shibori Dragon

The pattern is called Window on the East. It is not too difficult(despite my first impressions when I received the pattern). The pattern provided step by step instructions to cut and piece the correct angles. Not difficult, but requires a considerable amount of marking and very precise corners.

Check Shibori Dragon, see if it is still available. It is similiar to the attic window, but the pattern provides very precise directions for cutting and piecing.
