    When I was a kid and we visited my grandfather, there was one of these at his house. It was made out of bigger cans and was made of denim (sides and bottom) and it had a patterned top. It was pretty klunky, but neat.

    This was my kids favorite stool when they needed a boost to see what I was baking. I always had them as a kid at home. I asked my mother (age 88) how she learned to make them, and she said from her aunt. So, I guess it's an old pattern, but still pretty cute!

    OH MY, I MADE ONE OF THOSE FOR MY HOME EC.LOW COST CHILDREN'S TOYS PROJECT IN 1966..I STILL HAVE IT...I PADDED THE TOP AND SEWED IT ALL ON AFTER TIEING THE CANS TOGETHER..

    I work at a school kitchen and I was wondering....are those large soup cans or #10 cans??? I have acess to LOTS of cans.
