Well, I also believe you have a treasure chest!

I'm a lover of orange, and red, and yellow, and all warm colors. I think they really warm up a quilt and look great contrasted with darks or cool colors, like blue or purple.

I made this Pineapple Blossom quilt in a workshop with Bonnie Hunter and used solid cheddar orange as the "neutral" and Civil War reproduction prints as the darks. The pattern is on her website for free, www.quiltville.com

I just bought a new quilting book A PATH TO THE CIVIL WAR and all the blocks were sashed in orange but they called it cheddar, which was considered the most popular color at the time of the war. Have any strips left?

I use sscraps alot but I would use it to make Halloween bags or decorations with. Our high school colors are orange and black so I would do a banner for that as well.

    You NEVER have enough fabric!!!!!

    God bless, Dee

You can use the orange strips on the bottom of the *window* in the Attic Windows blocks with dark blue or purple as the side of the window.

Wow, Well the strips are all spoken for. Now I wish I had 3 bags full so many are wishing for them. I'm sorry to everyone that I haven't PM'd; I didn't have enough for you. I did reply to everyone who sent me a PM tho.
And the best news of all is: I finished the quilt.. the last of the quilting went in just minutes ago!!!!!!!!!!!

Are the wide enough for bindings?

Glad you got your strips displaced to ones who wanted them. If you get too many again try sending them to Stillwater, Okla as Okla State University's colors are orange, black and white. Someday I'll make my son a quilt as he is an OSU fan. I tell everyone that he has orange blood even.
